From Dr. Thomas.  Frank,  Developing your own PLAYBOOK is a brilliant strategy and tool. How could I get my business partner and family to do it?

Hello Dr. Thomas,

People will do just about anything if they see the true value and payoff for creating and getting in the habit of using a tool like the PLAYBOOK system to organize and improve their lives.

In Lesson Two we go into much detail on who, what, when, how, and why to create and use PLAYBOOK. Virtually every smart dentist, CEO, leader, manager, athletes, Olympians, and coaches have a PLAYBOOK. Why not you?

All our smart dental clients keep track of their principles, values, goals, culture, plans, ideas, and much more in their three-ring binder. Some choose to use a computer or app and they print out.

Please use a system that works for you.    Frank Candy

From: Dr. Klein,  Dear Captain Frank, Is there a good time to work on your PLAYBOOK?

Dear Dr. Klien,

This is a personal preference that each person finds in their own journey.
Allow me to share my evolving mindset to excel with this system.

Since I was a teenager I had a PLAYBOOK. All my life I have been an early riser. The first 30 minutes after awakening I start with a cool shower, stretching, yoga poses, meditation, and inspirational reading.

Then review the daily, weekly and monthly to-do lists, and review my PLAYBOOK. This is the discipline of habit and routine that keeps me humble, grounded, focused, grateful, organized, and moving in the right direction.

The effectiveness of leadership comes from vision, purpose, mission, organization, time management, discipline, and the desire to lead and serve people.

Summary: When you combine desire, habits, and discipline towards a worthy vision with goals, magic happens.

Dear Captain Frank,  Is there a good time to work on your PLAYBOOK?

Dear Dr. Robinson,

This is a personal preference that each person finds in their own journey.

While I offer this as a suggestion, you will find out what works for you. Every weekday morning I review my To-Do Lists and my PLAYBOOK. Normally just 10 to 30 minutes.

If I am working a full day, I will spend about 5 to 15 minutes before lunch reviewing my to-do lists to cross stuff off and make adjustments for the rest of the day.  Then before leaving work, I will review the day, update my to-do lists for tomorrow, and the rest of the week, and often I will review and update my PLAYBOOK.

On the weekend I block out at least one hour, eliminate distractions, and work on updating and improving my life and business with my PLAYBOOK. I have been doing this planning and strategic thinking for decades and have taught thousands of people this mindset, skillset, and toolset.

It's worked great for me, it has worked very well for my clients and students, and it will work for you if you commit to make it a habit and be disciplined to do it.

Frank, What do you consider to be the three top things in your organization?
Dr. Bob Anderson

Dear Dr. Anderson,

1. ACTION: Nothing happens until something moves. you must have a vision, mission, goals, and plans.

2. Quality Leadership: Great leaders have a bold vision to build a culture of trust, excellence, ongoing improvement, fantastic service. This includes a clear communication plan, so the goals are understood and a team to follow through and follow up.

3) A way to organize ideas, and processes, to inspire groups of people to be organized, committed, focused, and aligned to a common cause.  For this we use storyboards, but we also use online collaborative tools.

Hi Frank,
The local media has contacted me a couple of times to ask about interviewing me for a news segment. Is this something you would recommend I do?   Dr. George

Dear Dr. George,

Yes, BUT, please look for some professional training first so you can prepare for this. The objective is to look and sound smart, credible, and trustworthy.

A professional consultant who specializes in this skillset can get you up to speed fast. I have a couple of people I can recommend to you if you want a referral.
